The History of Bridgwater
Bridgwater has a rich and colourful history dating back to at least
800 A.D. The town was granted borough status by King John on June 26th,
1200. Its history is full of exciting events and colourful characters
all of which have been recorded by Roger Evans in a number of
publications. It is thanks to Roger that the following pages have been
